Youth kills grandmother

A 72-year-old woman died recently after being stabbed by her grandson in Kilinochchi, Jaffna, following a heated argument. The victim, identified as Subramanium Kanageshwari, had been admitted to the Kilinochchi Hospital. She had succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.

The suspect is 16 years old. He was arrested by Kilinochchi Police and is soon to be produced before the Kilinochchi Magistrate. It was revealed that the youth had beaten the victim until she fell down before stabbing her in the stomach.
