Two BIA-bound flights diverted to Mattala Airport

Two flights scheduled to land at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) were diverted to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, yesterday, due to adverse weather conditions.

The airbuses that were diverted were QR-662 of Qatar Airways and E-9503 of Air Arabia.

"The QR-662 flight landed at Mattala at 3.16. It left for BIA at 5.12 am. The E-9503 landed at Mattala 3.23 am and left for BIA at 4.47 am," Mattala Airport sources said.
