Appointments for trainee nurses tomorrow

Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne will hand over appointment letters to 1,603 nursing students at a ceremony to be held at Temple Trees tomorrow (8), a Health Ministry spokesman said.

Appointments will be given for trainees in three categories. A total of 115 appointments will be given to trainee Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) and trainee midwives. A total of 686 appointments will be given to Grade Three nursing trainees.

A further 802 appointments will be given to nursing students from nurses’ training schools for ward management and supervision.

Last month, Minister Senaratne handed over several new appointments for employees in five positions including medical laboratory technicians (MLTs), radiology technicians, ECG technicians, and school dental technicians.
