Australia Mega Live Star finale on Rupavahini

Sri Lankans living abroad in Australia got the opportunity to shine when they took part in Australia Mega Live Star. Contestants from Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sidney, Canberra and other areas across the country took part in the event. The finale was held in Melbourne city where 12 contestants battled for the title.

The event will be telecasting on Rupavahini on August 9 at 2 pm. Devni Asara was placed first from Adelaide while Iyomi Kisanjala won second place. Brisbane’s Charith Martino won the first place while Anududdha Kiriwella came in second place. Kavinda Hewage won first place from Sydney and Nivod Menusha won second place.

Kavinda Hewage came in third place in the finale. Taniya de Silva from Sydney won second place. Vismitha Sachinthaka from Melbourne was the winner. Maheesha Gamage from Melbourne was the most popular contestant. Malaka Yapa and Manoj Hettiarachchi were the organizers from Melbourne. Tilak Bolakandure organized the competitions held in Brisbane. Krishan Henanayake was the Adelaide organizer. Umara Sinhawansha, Kelum Srimal and Indrachapa Liyanage comprised the jury. Three Cinema Films Director Ajith Kumarathanthri directed the programme. Sahan Weerasekara compered the event.
