PSD vehicles in accident, two hurt

Two personnel from the Traffic Division of the Presidential Security Division (PSD) were injured when a PSD jeep and a motorcycle crashed in front of Jayanthi Viharaya in Kaduruwela on Saturday.

They were admitted to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital, Polonnaruwa Police said.

The accident occurred when President Maithripala Sirisena was leaving for an event in the Sewagama area after participating in an event at Jayanthi Viharaya.

According to the police, none of the personnel in the jeep were injured.
