Meththa win Ananda Balika Vidyalaya Old Girls’ Netball Tournament for fifth year

The Old Girls’ Association of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Maligakanda, Colombo organised its Netball Tournament among the old girls for the fifth consecutive year at the school premises recently. Players from four houses – Meththa, Karuna, Muditha and Upekkha participated.

Meththa defeated Muditha in the final to become champion for the fifth consecutive year.

Captain of the champion House Jayathri Upendra received the award from the chief guest Sports Info Chairman and Managing Director Thilan Rangana while the captain of the runner-up House Ruchira Yapa Abeywardena received an award from past Teacher Dula de Silva.

Chamila Senevirathne of Muditha House was adjudged the Best Player of the Tournament and the Best Shooter award went to Meththa House captain Jayathri Upendra. They received awards from Project Organizer Anuja de Silva and OGA member Shiromi Dilrukshi. .

OGA vice president Ranoja de Silva, Manjula de Silva and secretary Ramya Priyanganie were also present at the awards ceremony.
