Five ‘devala’ processions will be held subsequent to the ‘Kap’ planting ceremony. The first ‘Kumbal perahera’ will parade the streets on August 5 and will continue till August 9. ‘Randoli Perahera’ will parade the streets from August 10-14.

A day procession will be held on August 15 and a ‘perahera sandeshaya’ informing that the Esela Perahera was successfully completed will be handed over to the President by the Diyawadana Nilame and Basnayake Nilames at the President’s House in Kandy.
