A set of recommendations agreed to and approved by the Mahanayaka theras of the three chapters, Colombo Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, as well as dignitaries from other religions, would be presented to the leaders of all parties on August 6 at the BMICH, at 3.00 pm.
This was stated in a press release issued by Ven. Thirikunamale Ananda Mahanayake Thera of the Buddha Sasana Karyasadhaka Mandalaya.
The event would be organised by the Buddha Sasana Karyasadhaka Mandalaya, together with the sponsorship of the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress.
The initiative is aimed at ensuring suitably qualified persons with specific prerequisites who are acceptable to the public to be nominated by political parties as a stepping stone in building a new political culture of integrity in Sri Lanka.
