DFCC Bank awards scholarships for children of war heroes at Sathviru Abhiman

DFCC Bank, one of Sri Lanka’s fully-fledged commercial banks, supported the “Sathviru Abhiman” national event by awarding scholarships to the children of war heroes which took place recently at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

The awards ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Defence, and was graced by President Maithripala Sirisena and DFCC Bank’s CEO, Lakshman Silva. 308 children of war heroes were awarded scholarships sponsored by DFCC Bank to pursue their academic aspirations.

Commenting at the event, Lakshman Silva, CEO of DFCC Bank stated, “The Sathviru Abhiman initiative has facilitated DFCC to offer scholarships to these students who have excelled in their Grade 5 scholarship exams to fulfill their future education”
