Showers expected in several places after 2pm

Several spells of light showers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Kandy districts, said the Department of Meteorology.

Showers or thundershower will occur at a few places in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya, Polonnaruwa and Mullaitivu districts after 2.00 p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
