Two veteran Volleyball teams Brandenburg VB team and Gottegan (Berlin) teams will arrive in the island to play two friendly games against Sri Lanka veterans teams on an invitation by Sri Lanka Veterans Volleyball Association. These two matches are scheduled to be played on
August 17 from 2. p.m. onwards at the Jeyaraj Fernandopulle courts at Kadolke, Negombo.
These matches are arranged by the Sri Lanka Veterans Volleyball Association with the aim of giving an opportunity for veterans to play against veterans from abroad which will be of great help to keep these veterans involved with sport forgetting their age barriers.
The arrival of Veteran Volleyball teams from Germany will show to their countrymen Sri Lanka is a better place for sports as well as for Tourists.
Tr ials to select local veterans teams will be conducted on Saturday July 27 at Kadolkele courts. All veterans interested are requested to register with the Sri Lanka Veterans Volleyball Association to be eligible to attend the trials. Which will commence at 9.00 a.m.
