Wadduwa Central win Western Province Girls Under 20 Softball Cricket title

Wadduwa Central College won the Western Province Girls Under 20 Softball Cricket tournament held at Anura Vidyalaya Playground on July 6, Wadduwa Central College Principal S.D.N.Gunarathna told Daily News recently.

Wadduwa lasses had to face a big challenge in competing with Maithree Vidyalaya, Wewita, Ratnawali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha, Anula College, Nugegoda, and finally Sri Sumangala Girls National School, Panadura during the final rounds.

They were capable enough to defeat Sumangalians and win the final in 65 runs, said Anusha Weeramsnthri, the Teacher-in-charge of girls cricket at Wadduwa Central.
