Hola Lanka is stepping into Sri Lanka with a big bang. They are hosting their inaugural event, the prestigious World Icon Awards, 2019, in Colombo, after the World Icon Awards successfully made its way through Dubai (2017) and Thailand (2018). The World Icon Awards honors members of the community that have been instrumental in bettering society, be it through film, music, education, or politics.
They will also make their mark for hosting the premier of the Bollywood movie ‘The Hundred Bucks’ in Colombo on July 22 along with the star cast of the movie.
Hola brings in this event in the hour of need to Sri Lanka when the tourism industry is craving to bring back the confidence of the international tourist after the terror attacks in April this year
If they World Icon Awards aren’t a loud enough bang, Hola Lanka has a series of events in the pipeline, the ‘Ramayana Circuit’ tour being one of them. This tour bridges together India, Sri Lanka and Thailand in a single tour package, covering the three countries in phases.
Rebuilding Sri Lanka’s sense of safety and boosting the world’s confidence in Sri Lanka are pivotal in Hola Lanka’s aims. The WIO, which will be flooding with international and local dignitaries, and the work Hola Lanka is doing, is meant to help regain confidence in Sri Lanka.
