Wellampitiya copper factory employee remanded

Karuppaiah Rajendran Abdullah, an employee attached to the Wellampitiya copper factory arrested in connection with the Easter Sunday explosion was remanded till July 15 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne.

The Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) informed the Chief Magistrate's court that investigations into the suspect are still underway.

Accordingly, the Magistrate instructed the TID to submit a progress report of the investigations on same date.
