The steering of the country should be in the hands of capable and most qualified persons, Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said.
He made these remarks while participating in the inaugural launch of the “Pannaraya” national movement yesterday at Waters Edge Hotel, Battaramulla. The Pannaraya programme was launched under the theme “For a country worth living in”. Fourteen key projects are being carried out Under the Pannaraya such as Urban regenerations project, Tech-City development Project, Metro Colombo urban development project, Malabe-Colombo Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, Multimodal Transport hub, Logistic City project and so on.
“Pannaraya” is a programme to drive the country towards overall development and to convert the country, where worth living in, the Minister said.
