A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Sri Lanka and Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services (Pvt.) Ltd. recently. Amongst initiatives to be undertaken as part of this collaboration are development of CIMA talent with training opportunities at Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services as well as special pathway routes made available to Moody’s employees to follow the CIMA Professional Qualification. Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services employees will also have access to discounted training products through the CGMA Store.

Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services will share their expert case study analysis to the Strategic Case Study students of CIMA starting from August 2019 and will conduct sessions on interview guidance.

Commenting on the partnership Ms. Zahara Ansary, ACMA, CGMA, Country Manager of CIMA Sri Lanka stated “We are delighted to collaborate with Research / Finance industry giant Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services, Sri Lanka as this will bring forth many benefits for our students, especially those at the Strategic Level. In this Centenary year for CIMA, we wish to expand our relationships and enable more benefits for our students and members. Over the last 100 years we have thrived, and we continue to invest on our qualification.

The new Professional Qualification (based on our ground-breaking Future of Finance research) rolling out from end of this year will help equip Sri Lankan finance professionals at large organisations such as Moody’s to face the rapid changes brought on by technology to the industry. We are also proud to see the number of CIMA members at Moody’s who continue to excel in this field.”

Rathnakala Kumaragurunathan, ACMA, CGMA, Associate Director: Investment Research and Head: Training & Knowledge Management, commented “With continuous disruptions in the business space and markets, having qualifications that instill continuous learning and almost make it mandatory to adapt and flush out complacency, determines success of an organisation. I am confident that collaborating with CIMA will complement this well and allow us to invest in talent, and thus the next generation of finance professionals”.
