Amazon College celebrated its annual convocation ceremony on a grand scale on June 8 at the BMICH, Colombo, where 65 diploma holders and 65 degree holders graduated. Over 450 participants including Special Guests, university professors, lecturers, students, parents and other well-wishers attended.
The Governor of Western Province A J M Muzammil was the Chief Guest. The Special Guests were Sarath Kongahage (President’s Advisor and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute) , Dr. Varun Gupta (Vice President – On Sky Global USA), Ziyam Abdeen (Chairman of Winsys Network , Vice President of the internet society of Sri Lanka), Prof. Chandrasekaram ( Ex- Dean Faculty of Education – University of Colombo, Chairman – Official Languages Commission , Coordinator) , Al-Haj . A.J . Mohamed Faiz (Ex-member of the Western Province Council ), Dr. Ulrika Zeitz (Educational Consultant – Germany), Al-Haj. Subairdeen (Chairman – Sri Lanka Cement Cooperation ) , Dr. Riskhan Basheer PhD. (Associate Professor – China Three Gorges University), Afras Kabeer – Director of I soft College Puttalam, and Sri Paramathma Sutharsan- National Program Manager of Good Neighbor International. The guests were welcomed by Ilham Marikkar, the Founder and Director of Amazon College.
