Puttalam District UNP MP Shantha Sisirakumara Abeysekara’s son Ishan Abeysekera was remanded till July 04 by the Chilaw Magistrate Court today.
A Police Constable attached to the Ministerial Security Division (MSD) was injured and hospitalized after he was allegedly assaulted by Ishan Abeysekera on June 29.
The constable has been admitted to the Chilaw hospital for treatment. He also has lodged a complaint with the police.
Ishan Abeysekera was produced in court after he surrendered to the police this morning.
The police are continuing investigations.
