The United Nations Association of Sri Lanka organized a variety of contests realted speech, general knowledge and essay writing among the students of the UN Study Circle to mark the 73rd United Nations Day held at the Ramadia Ranmal Holiday Resort, Moratuwa.

Winners of the Speech contest - Matale Vijaya Vidyalaya’s Hansani Wimansa Edirisinghe, General Knowledge Contest - Colombo Mahanama College’s Kumod Dewmika Hapuarachchi, Essay Contest - Kegalle Walagamba Maha Vidyalaya’s Janani Hansamali, Best Study Circles Contest - Kegalle St. Joseph’s Balika Maha Vidyalaya and Study Circle Best Teacher in Charge Surangani Bandara received their awards from the guests.

Acting Resident Coordinator United Nations in Sri Lanka Razia Pendse, Executive Chairman UNA M M Zavahir, General Secretary Errol Smith, Bank of Ceylon Chief Marketing Officer Dr. Indunil Liyanage and Seylan Bank Manager Chandana Weerakody presented awards, certificates and cash award to the students.

Students of the OKI International School presented a cultural dance item.
