NTJ Colombo head further remanded

Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne yesterday ordered further remand of the National Thowheed Jama’ath (NTJ) organisation’s Colombo District Organiser Mohamed Farook Mohamed Fawaz till July 2.

The suspect was identified as Mohomed Farook Mohomed Fawaz, 38, resident of Sooriyamahal Housing Scheme, Prince Gate, Hulftsdorp, Colombo.

The Keselwatta Police informed the court that several items seized from the suspect during his arrest had been already submitted to the Government Analyst’s Department.The police further stated that the Analyst’s report had not yet been received.

The Magistrate directed the Government Analyst to submit the report before next calling date.

The Keselwatta Police informed court that they had seized 67 stickers of the National Thawheed Jama’ath (NTJ), pen drives and mobile phones during the arrest.
