Sri Lanka’s most trusted and experienced ventilation solutions provider Sirocco Air Technologies recently took yet another step by extending its gratitude towards HelpAge Sri Lanka (HASL) to provide free eye care facilities and cataract surgeries for under-privileged senior citizens.

Sirocco Air Technologies conducted a Medical and Eye Care Camp with HelpAge Sri Lanka at Malwana in Gampaha for the benefit of less privileged senior citizens. The medical and eye care camp provided assistance to 226 elders in Malwana area. In addition to medical and eye care screening facilities, recipients also received 55 bifocal spectacles, while seven persons were referred for free cataract surgeries at HelpAge Eye Hospital, Wellawatte. Sirocco Air Technologies Managing Director Suren Chandraratna highly admired the free medical and eye care service rendered by HelpAge for less privileged senior citizens and highlighted that his company has always been helping needy citizens to improve their health conditions and social activities through their CSR initiative.

HelpAge Executive Director Samantha Liyanawaduge thanked Sirocco Air Technologies for making this kind gesture to improve the vision of a needy section in our society.

Quoting statistics Executive Director Liyanawaduge said many elders, especially in rural and remote areas need cataract surgeries, but they are unable to get them done at Government Hospitals due to long list and at private hospitals due to high cost of these surgeries.
