The Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education, Kovilkulam, Batticaloa conducted the first intake of 370 full-time courses and 300 part-time courses at their Auditorium recently. The event was held under the guidence of the Ministry of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education
Proceedings began with the lighting of a candle in memory of those who had lost their lives on the Easter Sunday bomb blasts. The second year students welcomed the new entrants. They entertained the audience with cultural items like dance, Parathanatiyam, singing and compering.
The function was presided over by the Academy Director S Jeyabalan. Principal College of Education Thalankudha K Punniyamoorty, HNDA Lecturer A H M Azam, HNDTHM –HOD S Delima, HNDIT – HOD K Devaruban, and HNDE – HOD Minoli Harindran were present.
