The Special three member Board appointed to investigate the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks had submitted its final report to President Maithripala Sirisena at his official residence today, the President’s Media Division said.
The report was handed over to the President by the former Supreme Court Judge Vijith Malalgoda A while former Inspector General of Police N. K. Ilangakoon and former Ministry Secretary Padmasiri Jayamanne were also present on this occasion.
The committee was appointed on April 22 to look into the causes and the background of the catastrophic Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The investigations were carried out in two stages and two interim reports were handed over by the committee to the president previously, the President’s Media Unit said.
