Rajitha inspects Jaffna Hospital

Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne inspected the second phase of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital development project recently.

The second phase of the project is aimed at developing the Accident Ward and Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) of the hospital.

The first phase of the development project has been completed. There are many other development projects such as the stroke unit being undertaken in the hospital. A stock of new medical equipment was handed over to the hospital by Minister Senaratne during the inspection tour.

During the tour, Minister Senaratne promised to provide a MRI scanner and CT scanner for the hospital.
