Case against three suspects to be taken up on June 27

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) produced three suspects, including the brother of the St. Anthony’s Shrine bomber, before Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne, yesterday. The Criminal Investigations Department obtained a three-month detention order for the suspects from the Defence Secretary under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).

The suspects were arrested for aiding and abetting the suicide bombers.

The magistrate ordered the CID to produce the suspects in courts on June 27.
