Two more arrests related to bomb attacks

An individual identified as Buhari Mohammed Rafik was arrested by the Slave Island Police in connection with the Easter Sunday bomb attacks, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.

The spokesperson said cash exceeding Rs. 8 million and 778 grams of gold were found in his possession at the time of his arrest.

Meanwhile, Kattankudy Police have arrested another suspect who is believed to be closely connected to the suicide bomber Mohamed Zahran Hashim.

According to police, the suspect had carried out financial transactions with Zahran and was found to have participated in several training sessions conducted by him.
