Man arrested with live hand grenade

A suspect was arrested with a live hand grenade from Egodawela in Karandeniya Police Division.

The raid was conducted on a tip-off by officials of Karandeniya Police.

The police noted that the arrested suspect was Ranepura Hewa Sunil Premarathne 37-year-old a residents of Karandeniya,

He was produced before Balapitiya Magistrate Court and Karandeniya police are continuing investigations.
