Police granted permission to detain Kotte MC member, three others

Colombo Additional Magistrate Kanchana Neranjana de Silva yesterday permitted the Welikada Police to detain and interrogate four suspects including Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Councillor and his brother for a period of 90 days.

They were arrested for distributing materials in support of the ISIS terrorist organization. Police also stated that they had seized swords and Manna Knives during the arrest. The Additional Magistrate ordered that the progress of the investigation be submitted in court on May 29.
