NTJ Colombo organiser re-remanded till May 21

Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne yesterday ordered the National Thawheed Jamath’s (NTJ) Colombo District organiser Mohamed Farook Mohamed Fawaz to be further remanded till May 21.

Fawaz, 38, is a resident of Sooriyamahal Housing Scheme, Prince Gate, Hulftsdorp, Colombo.

The Keselwatte Police had previously informed court that they had seized 67 stickers of the NTJ, and pen drives and mobile phones when the suspect was arrested.

Police also said they had recovered several photographs and video clips of the Easter (April 21) bombings from the suspect’s mobile phone, at the time of arrest.
