Five injured in road accident

Five members of a family returning home from a funeral were injured in an accident that occurred on the Batticaloa - Kalmunai road on Monday.

Two of the injured were identified as 72-year-old S. Nagaraja and 20-year-old M. Mugunthan. The others are of the ages 20, 55, and 65.

The victims are being treated at the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital. Investigations are continuing.
