Hizbullah’s security officer released on bail

A security officer attached to the security detail of Eastern Province Governor M.L.A.M. Hizbullah, who had been arrested for allegedly possessing several rubber seals of high-ranking police officers, was released on bail yesterday by Colombo Additional Magistrate Lochana Abeywickrama.

The suspect, Mohamed Manzur Mohamed Rizly was released on two sureties of Rs. 1 million each.

Police informed the court that they recovered several rubber seals of SP Priyantha Weerasuriya, Police Inspector Mahindasiri and Governor Hizbullah. The Magistrate fixed further inquiries for May 28.
