‘ACJU not discussed banning of burqa with Opposition Leader’

The Opposition Leader’s Office, issuing a press release, had stated that no discussions on the banning of burqas were held at the meeting between Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa and the All-Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) on April 29.

The release stated that the ACJU representatives said that the Islamic community in the country had no part in the Easter Day attacks.
