A 50-year-old Muslim man possessing 22 NICs of Muslim women was arrested in Palliwaselthurai by the Kalpitiya Police, on April 29.
The suspect, a resident of Puttalam, had no plausible explanation as to why he had them with him.
Investigations are continuing.
