Bullets found were issued to my security - Hisbullah

Eastern Province Governor Dr. M.L.A.M. Hisbullah in a statement issued on Tuesday refuting media allegations about the bullets found in his office by Security Forces, clarified that the bullets belonged to the Kattankudy Police.

“They were officially issued to the security officers for my security,” he said.

Excerpts of the statement:

“The Tri-Forces found 40 bullets in my office in Katankudy on Tuesday (30), when they checked my office.

The bullets were found in the room allocated for my security officers in my office.”

“These bullets were officially issued by Kattankudy Police to my security officers for my security.”

“Following the checking, police arrested two of my office assistants and they are in police custody until my security officers officially report to the police that the bullets were officially issued by Kattankudy Police for my security.”

“I strongly condemn the statements of some media reporting false news without investigating the facts regarding the bullets found in my office.”

“Some media and politicians make use of the recent attacks at churches and hotels to tarnish my reputation and good name. They work day and night to destroy my political career.”

“I would like to clarify that those bullets found in my office belong to the Kattankudy Police and were officially issued to my security officers for my security.”
