DVI team from Czech to assist blast probe

The Czech Republic has sent an intelligence unit to work with local authorities and offered an immediate deployment of a Disaster Victims Identification (DVI) team in Colombo. Consul General for the Czech Republic in Sri Lanka Dr. Lohitha Samarawickrema, who coordinated the matter with Hovorka, elaborated that the DVI team includes experts in crime scene examining, victim identifying using DNA analysis and searching missing persons.

Dr. Samarawickrema met the Czech Premier Babis recently and discussed the possible interactions among the two countries to enhance the investments, cultural and political ties of the two countries.
