‘Vesak funds should be used to aid victims’

All the funds that are to be used for the upcoming Vesak festival should be utilised to help the families who fell victim to the attacks that took place on Easter Sunday. All the citizens of the country must unite to assist their fellow brothers and sisters in the face of this tragedy, Ihala Dolospattuwa Chief Prelate and Kurunegala District Sasnarakshaka Balamandala Secretary-General Ven. Atamune Ananda Nayaka Thera said.

“These donations would be a tribute to the Buddha, and this would strengthen the ties between communities,” the thera added.
