16 suspects have been arrested in connection with the explosions that took place on Easter Sunday, said the Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara.
The arrests were made in areas including Wattala, Bandaragama, Thirappane, Theldeniya, Balangoda, Matale and Vavunathivu.
Police said that one person who is suspected to have maintained links with a terrorist group is also among the arrestees.
