Explosion at churches and hotels: Death toll rises to 321 - UPDATE

The death toll following a series of bomb attacks has increased to 321, 500 injured and 38 foreigners are among the victims, said the State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene.

He stated it while delivering speech during the Parliament session.

The explosions took place on Easter Sunday Services in Churches, three hotels, Dehiwala and Dematagoda. The horrendous blasts took place at  St. Anthony's Church in Kochchikade, St. Sebestian's Church in Katuwapitiya, Katana, Zion Church in Batticaloa, Kingsbury, Shangri-La, Cinnamon Grand Hotels in Colombo, Dehiwala and Dematagoda.

 

 

9:45am - The death toll following a series of bomb attacks has increased to 310 and 480 injured,  said the Police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara.

The explosions took place on Easter Sunday Services in Churches, three hotels, Dehiwala and Dematagoda. The horrendous blasts took place at  St. Anthony's Church in Kochchikade, St. Sebestian's Church in Katuwapitiya, Katana, Zion Church in Batticaloa, Kingsbury, Shangri-La, Cinnamon Grand Hotels in Colombo, Dehiwala and Dematagoda.
