Pasindu Sooriyabanadara scored his fourth century of the season to put Royal in command at the end of the first day of the Singer Trophy Under 19 division 11 inter-schools 2-day cricket semi-finals against Kalutara Vidyalaya at Army grounds Dombagoda yesterday.
Sooriyabandara hit an unbeaten 146 off 150 balls with 22 fours and a six as Royal ended the day strongly placed at 402 for four wickets.
Kamil Mishara 83, Ishirwara Dissanayaka 68 and Kavindu Madarasinghe 64 were also amongst the runs after Royal was invited to bat first.
The match will be continued today on day two.
