Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed former Sri Lanka fast bowling all-rounder Farveez Maharoof as manager of the Sri Lanka under 19 team for the upcoming Pakistan under 19 tour of Sri Lanka.
The Pakistan under 19 team will tour Sri Lanka during April and May.
Maharoof’s appointment came into effect from April, 1, 2019.
“Whilst thanking Sri Lanka Cricket for this opportunity, I wish to state that I am honored to serve the game in my new capacity, which will enable me to use my experience, skills and the knowledge of the game to guide the youngsters aspiring to represent the national team in the future;' Maharoof said following his appointment. Maharoof, represented his country in both Tests and Limited-over versions and will remain as a member of the junior selection committee.
