Fourth accused in D. A. Rajapaksa Museum case allowed to go abroad

Sudammika Keminda Artigala, whose passport was impounded in connection with the D. A. Rajapaksa Museum case, was yesterday temporally permitted to travel abroad by the Permanent High Court-at-Bar. The Trial-at-Bar bench comprising High Court Judges Sampath Abeykoon (President), Sampath Wijeratne and Champa Janaki Rajaratne allowed Sudammika Keminda Artigala, the fourth accused in the case, to travel to South Africa to attend in a seminar. The case will be taken up again for hearing on March 28.

On February 11, the Permanent High Court-at-Bar decided to overrule preliminary objections raised by former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and six others in connection with the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum case, confirming that the Permanent High Court-at-Bar has jurisdiction to hear this case.
