CNCI Budget seminar to focus on Sales-based Taxes and new Inland Revenue Act

The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the pioneering industry chamber in the country, has scheduled a full day Budget Seminar focused on the salience of the National Budget 2019 to the private sector, Proposed Changes, Sales-based Taxes and also the new Inland Revenue Act.

This important seminar would be conducted on April 4, from 9 am to 4.30 pm at Hotel Taj Samudra

The CNCI Secretariat believes that many organizations are desirous of knowing their obligations towards mandatory requirements subsequent to the National Budget and any changes to the Tax systems etc.

This seminar is supposed to cover all these areas and the new Inland Revenue Act would also be fully covered at the seminar.

As such, this would be an ample opportunity for all participants to understand the applicable changes to their respective industries with the National Budget 2019 and more importantly, to be conversant with the new Inland Revenue Act.

The seminar has specially been designed for those who are involved in Finance, Payroll Management, Administration, Human Resource Management and any others interested.

Training consists with a panel discussion, where the participants could clarify any issues and seek answers to any issues concerned.

The main objective of the Seminar is to educate private sector organizations on any changes to the Tax Systems and/or procedures with the new Budget and to make them aware of the changes taking place subsequent to the new Inland Revenue Act.

The Seminar would be conducted by Hiranthi Ratnayake (BSc, FCA), Chairperson, Tax Committee of CA Sri Lanka and Director Tax and Legal Services Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Athula Ranaweera (BSc, FCA, FCMA, FMAAT), alternate Chairman of the Tax Committee of CA Sri Lanka and Managing Director, Advisory Partners (Pvt) Ltd., who are having decades of experience in the field of taxation and possessing very good training skills.
