Trinity-Antonian one-day game to go ahead

The much-awaited limited over’s encounter between Trinity College and St. Anthony’s College, the 39th edition of the series will be played as schedule at Asgiriya Stadium for the Richard Aluvihare trophy on March 16 Saturday.

Out of the 38 games played so far Trinity lead the series with 18 wins to Antonians 17 with one tied and two ending in no-results. Trinity are the present holders of the trophy.

This match was in the balance following an incident that took place during the Big Match on Saturday at Katugastota. Trinity’s 2006 cricket captain and Ryde Gold medal winner Charith Dumbarage will be the chief guest.
