Rear Admiral Sujeewa Perera assumes office as Commandant VNF

Rear Admiral Sujeewa Perera assumed office as Commandant Volunteer Naval Force (VNF) on an auspicious note yesterday.

The new Commandant VNF was accorded a Guard of Honour and was warmly received to the Volunteer Naval Force Headquarters where his predecessor Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne officially handed over the duties of the appointment to the incoming Commandant.

Prior to his appointment as Commandant VNF, Rear Admiral Sujeewa Perera held office as Commander Northwestern Naval Area. Commanding Officer VNF and SLNS Lanka, Captain Toni Perera was also present on this occasion.
