Man with rare conch shell held

A suspect who had kept a very rare and expensive species of conch shell (Tyyan) was nabbed by officers of the Dangerous Drug Prevention Unit of Police of the Badulla Division yesterday morning.

The raid was done in Uduwarawatte in Demodara yesterday morning on a tip off received by the Dangerous Drug Prevention Unit from a police decoy.The 40 year old suspect is a resident of National Housing Scheme, Sri Dharmaraja Mawatha, Dematagoda.

The suspect was produced before the Badulla Magistrate’s Courts yesterday morning.
