Five heroin smugglers remanded

Dileep Susantha, Mahomed Fazeer, Duleep Prasanna, Jagath Rathnayake, Maddumalage Maithripala, Surendra Lakshan Silva and Sudath Priyadarshana who were arrested with over 231 kg of heroin on the Beruwala beach were remanded till March 07 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne.

PNB officials said the two trawlers which belonged to the suspect and Rs.5.9 million cash that the suspect had earned from heroin racketeering are currently in Police custody.
