Settlement reached into writ petitions

The election to elect the office bearers of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will be held tomorrow uninterruptedly since the parties in the writ petitions which challenged the rejection of nominations reached to a settlement.

Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Rajaratnam appearing for the Minister of Sports submitted to Court that Sport Minister has informed that Mohan de Silva would be eligible to contest the post of Secretary of SLC.

Mr. Rajaratnam further stated that Raveen Wickremeratne would be eligible to contest the post of Vice President and the Assistance Secretary of the SLC.
