Navam Perahera from today

The Gangarama Temple Navam Perahera will take procession today and tomorrow after the casket of Sacred Relics is ceremoniously placed on the main tusker.

The perahera will start from W. A. D. Ramanayake Mawatha and proceed through Hunupitiya Lake Road and Sri Jinaratana Mawatha before circling the Empire Roundabout to return to Sri Jinaratana Mawatha. It will thereafter take the route through Sir James Peiris Mawatha, Perahera Mawatha, Uttarananda Mawatha and Navam Mawatha before returning to Sir James Peiris Mawatha, to enter the temple premises through Sri Jinaratana Mawatha.
