Two held with Kerala cannabis

Two persons who had transported a stock of Kerala cannabis in a vehicle were apprehended by the Nochchiyagama Police in Halmillakulama yesterday morning

The arrest was made on a tip-off received by the Nochchiyagama Police.

The suspects who were transporting five kilograms and 240 grams of Kerala cannabis were taken into police custody near the Halmillakulama lake in Nochchiyagama.

They were to be produced before the Thambuththegama Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
