Former Prisons Commissioner Emil Ranjan Lamahewa arrested for the Welikada Prison riot in 2012 was ordered to be further remanded till February 26 by the Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) submitted a further report to court.
Inspector Neomal Rangajeewa of the Police Narcotics Bureau in this case is on bail. On September 25, the Court of Appeal ordered to bail out Rangajeewa after considering a revision application he filed.
